The Hospopreneurs Podcast
The Hospopreneurs Podcast explores creativity and innovation across the hospitality, food and beverage ecosystem – from agriculture and distilling to retail, entertainment and technology.
Host, James Henderson, interviews influential people and blends Q&A, anecdotes and other resources into an informative program that educates and inspires.
Learn why we do what we do from successful minds behind the business of hospitality.
“As a regular listener of The Hospopreneurs Podcast, I was delighted to listen to [Tim Williams’] journey in coffee. I feel that our industry is well placed to make change for the better of all that are involved. Knowing that we have people like yourself driving change and stimulating thinking about doing things differently. Thanks for all that you do.”
— Peter Wolff (Founder, Wolff Coffee Roasters) on LinkedIn
“Do yourself a favour and listen to ALL of them! Legit my favourite podcast! Road trips sorted.”
— Ben Osborne (Founder, Local Spirit Distillery) on Facebook
Since founding the program in 2017, James has established the show as a premier podcast in the space. He was a Finalist in the 2018 Australian Podcast Awards, has ranked in the Top 100 and 200 Apple Business Podcasts in 15 countries and earned acclaim from Telstra as a Must-Listen Business Podcast and Canstar as a Top 10 Podcast for Small Business – alongside Gimlet’s StartUp and TED Talks.
James has featured on ABC Radio National’s Drive program, as an authority in the beverage industry.
Prior to Hospopreneurs, James founded a hospitality loyalty platform with partners who have since achieved their own international success with QR order-at-the-table technology.
He consults podcasters on strategy and production – and in 2017, accidentally founded a viral music event, known as the City Bush Doof (a story in its own right).
A long way from his first hospitality job at Boost Juice, James has been employed by global beverage company, Diageo and worked for multiple blue-chip companies including Apple Inc. and The Commonwealth Bank of Australia. He currently consults with FMCG businesses on commercial strategy.
James has a Bachelor of Commerce, a Bachelor of Economics and is currently completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at The University of Queensland, Australia.
